Chemical name: TAUROURSODEOXYCHOLIC ACID
Sodium taurous ursodeoxycholic acid, also known as taurous ursodeoxycholic acid (TUDCA) and taurous ursodeoxycholic acid, is chemically named as 3a,7beta dihydroxychloroalkyl-N-taurine, which mainly exists in black bear bile and is a landmark effective ingredient in bear bile. It has the functions of spasmolysis, anti-convulsion, anti-inflammation and gallstone dissolution.
Taurine ursodeoxycholic acid, a modern synthetic drug, is a conjugated bile acid formed by the shrinkage of the shuttle group of ursodeoxycholic acid and the amino group of taurine. Taurine ursodeoxycholic acid capsules have been put on the market abroad. In 2007, Taurine ursodeoxycholic acid capsules were approved to be sold in China as imported drugs. They are mainly used in the treatment of cholesterol gallstones, primary sclerosing cholangitis, primary biliary cirrhosis and chronic viral hepatitis C.
