Plasticizer ESO Introduction:
Plasticizer ESO is also called Expoxy Soybean oil or epoxidized soybean oil. The product is a light yellow viscous oil-like liquid at room temperature. Generally, it will solidify when it is lower than 5 ℃, with boiling point of 150 ℃ (0.5kpa), ignition point 310 ℃, viscosity of 325mpa.s (25 ℃), refractive index of 1.472 (25 ℃), solubility in water less than 0.01% (25 ℃), water solubility in this product 0.55% (25 ℃), soluble in organic solvents such as hydrocarbons, ketones, esters, advanced alcohols, and slightly soluble in ethanol. Epoxy soybean oil is the most widely used epoxy plasticizer and stabilizer of PVC.
The compatibility of epoxy soybean oil with PVC resin is good, low volatility and small mobility. Epoxy soybean oil has excellent thermal stability and light stability, water resistance and oil resistance. It can give good mechanical strength, weather resistance and electrical performance, and environmental protection is non-toxic. Epoxy soybean oil is an internationally recognized auxiliary for food packaging materials.
Epoxy soybean oil can be used in all PVC products. For example, various food packaging materials, medical products, various films, sheet materials, pipes, refrigerator sealing strips, artificial leather, synthetic leather, PVC floor, plastic wallpaper, wire and cable materials and other daily plastic products, can also be used for special ink and liquid composite stabilizer. In general PVC soft products, 5-10 parts of epoxy soybean oil can significantly change its thermal and optical stability. Under special circumstances, 10-30 parts can be added. Under the condition of non outdoor use, almost no other stabilizer can be added. The use of epoxy soybean oil can reduce the dosage of other plasticizers, stabilizers and lubricants.
In a word, epoxidized soybean oil is a good plasticizer with high cost performance and wide application.
